After months of anticipation, CM Punk and MJF finally wrestled each other in the main event of tonight’s AEW Dynamite.
About 15 minutes into the match, MJF seemingly won the match after forcing Punk to pass out to a chokehold. However, referee Bryce Remsburg noticed that MJF had tape in his hands that he used while Punk was in the chokehold and the match was restarted.
Towards the end of the match, Warlow walked out to the ringside area after MJF was knocked to the outside of the ring. Wardlow stood face to face with Punk but then he backed away. Wardlow teased entering the ring and the distraction allowed MJF to use the diamond ring and pin Punk. The replay revealed that Wardlow passed the ring to MJF.
