Mauro Ranallo is set to host a new celebrity reality series on CBS titled, “Beyond the Edge,” which will premiere on Wednesday, March 16 at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
Episodes will be an hour-long and will feature nine celebrities “trading their worlds of luxury to live in the dangerous jungles of Panama, where they face off in epic adventures and endure the most brutal conditions, as they push themselves to go far beyond their comfort zone.”
Lauren Alaina, Ray Lewis, Craig Morgan, Metta World Peace, Paulina Porizkova, Mike Singletary, Jodie Sweetin, Colton Underwood, and Eboni K. Williams are competing on the series. The celebrities will be raising money for their chosen charities.
Ranallo worked as the lead announcer of SmackDown from 2015-2017 before taking a hiatus and later returning in 2017 as the announcer for NXT until 2020. He returned to wrestling to call Kenny Omega and Rich Swann’s title vs. title match at Impact Wrestling’s Rebellion pay-per-view last April.
Ranallo is currently an announcer for Showtime Sports.
