WWE executives and stockholders are likely thrilled at the latest financial report as the company reported record revenue ($1.095 billion) for 2021.
The company hopes to shatter that number in 2022 as Nick Khan hinted on the investor conference call that the company may do more events per year in Saudi Arabia. The company reportedly is paid about $50 million per show by the Saudi government.
Nick Khan also indicated on the call that there will be more players in the mix for WWE’s content than there were in the last round of deals. Currently, WWE programming airs on NBCUniversal’s USA Network/Peacock and FOX in the United States and they have deals with other platforms around the world but with streaming providers looking for more content, the field seems to be more wide open than ever for WWE content.
