ORIGINAL: AEW President Tony Khan has filed paperwork to run for the U.S. House of Representatives, according to media reports. According to the filing, he will run as Democrat and he looks to take the seat that is currently held by Republican John Rutherford.
Before he can attempt to win the seat, Khan must win the party’s nomination. If this pans out for him, he will add to his already-full plate with duties that include running All Elite Wrestling, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Fulham FC.

UPDATE: There is some doubt as to whether it’s really Tony Khan running or if someone somehow filed paperwork as a joke.
Neither the Florida Division of Elections (https://t.co/2cGfCN3ZLc) nor the Federal Elections Commission (https://t.co/BP2247lSLI) lists anyone named Tony Khan as a 2022 candidate for Florida's Fourth Congressional District.

Chris, I agree that the filing could be an elaborate joke, but by whom and for what purpose? The home address and LLC are weird, but could be a rookie mistake. I lived in CT when Linda McMahon made a credible run for Senate, which she later parlayed into a job with TFG.
