Matt Cardona defeated Trevor Murdoch to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at the NWA Powerrr Trip show in Oak Grove, Kentucky.
Cardona won the match with the Radio Silence finisher to win the title for the first time and breaking Murdoch’s 168 day reign.
This match was made after Cardona’s debut at the NWA Hard Times 2 show in December. Cardona attacked Murdoch on that show to set up their match. The title change will air this Tuesday night on NWA Powerrrr.
Cardona also wrestles for Impact Wrestling where he is the Digital Media Champion and he wrestles for Game Changer Wrestling.
