Top Impact Wrestling star departs from the company

W. Morrisey, aka the former Big Cass in WWE, is no longer with Impact Wrestling as Pwinsider.com reported today that he has departed from the promotion.

His last TV appearance will happen tonight when he teams with PCO against Moose and Steve Maclin on Impact TV.

Morrisey first joined the promotion in April 2021 where he reinvented himself and had a redemption run as a top star. He had notable matches with Moose, Matt Cardona, and more.

Morrisey made his AEW debut a few weeks ago when he lost to Wardlow n Dynamite, which was a one-off appearance. Shortly after that appearance, Andrew Zarian reported on his Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast that people in WWE were impressed by what they saw by him in the bout, which may lead to a second run in the promotion.

His personal issues are what led to his release from WWE in 2018. As he heads into free agency, he’s clean and sober and in the best shape of his life.
