Apollo Crews is not the only main roster star from the WWE Raw brand that has been moved to NXT 2.0.
Pwinsider.com reports Crews and Commander Azeez will be part of the NXT roster moving forward.
Crews made his return to the developmental brand on Tuesday’s show to confront NXT Champion, Bron Breakker. Crews said that he was back in NXT to change history and how his first run ended way too soon. He wants to also create new history by becoming an NXT Champion.
Azeez did not accompany Crews in his segment with Breakker. As of this writing, it’s unclear if the two will continue to be aligned on the show or not.
Crews was originally in NXT from October 2014 through 2016 before being called up to the main roster. He is a one-time former Intercontinental Champion and a one-time former United States Champion.
On the flip side, Azeez joined WWE in 2016 where he made his main roster debut in 2018 as part of The Greatest Royal Rumble from Saudi Arabia. At WrestleMania 37, he helped Crews win the Intercontinental Championship and the two have been aligned since.
