Sasha Banks reportedly got her lawyers involved to get a WWE release

More details continue to come out regarding the process of Sasha Banks’s impending departure from WWE after it was reported by Wrestling Inc’s Raj Giri that she has been released by the company. No one else has been able to confirm the news, but Giri does have a good record of breaking news.

Fightful Select noted after talking with Giri, they learned that Banks’ lawyers were involved and there had been eyes on a physical WWE release.”

During his Thursday Mat Men podcast, Andrew Zarian said while can’t confirm she has been released, he did hear last week that her attorneys were working on getting this done.

Last month at a Monday Night Raw event, Banks and Naomi walked out because of creative differences with Vince McMahon regarding a six-pack challenge on the show.

The plan was for Naomi to challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Title at Hell in a Cell while Banks was supposed to wrestle SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

That following Friday on SmackDown,  it was announced the two were indefinitely suspended and stripped of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. They also had their merchandise was also removed from WWE Shop and their contracts were put on hold.

WWE has yet to comment on any of this, and neither woman has released any kind of statement publicly.
