Two injured WWE NXT stars expected to return soon

WWE NXT will be getting some star power back soon as two wrestlers are slated to make their return to television soon and that’s Io Shirai and Zoey Stark.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “Shirai and Zoey Stark, who have both been out with injuries, are expected to be back relatively soon.”

Stark has been out of action since October when she suffered a torn ACL & meniscus in a three-way tag team ladder match where she and Shirai were defending the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles.

On the flip side, Shirai has been out with an unknown injury. Io teamed with Kay Lee Ray in this year’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament where they won it to earn a tag team title shot against Toxic Attraction, but they decided to join the Women’s Title match at NXT Stand & Deliver along with current champion Mandy Rose and Cora Jade to make it a fatal 4-way from Dallas, Texas.

The former NXT Women’s Champion was seen in public wearing a walking boot and using crutches to get around.
