At AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door in Chicago, Jay White put his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Hangman Adam Page, Adam Cole, and Kazuchika Okada.
Cole and White worked together for a while until Cole hit the backstabber on White to set up a pin attempt. Late in the match, Page almost pinned White after the Buckshot Lariat but Okada broke up the pin.
Okada had the match won on Page but White jumped in and stole the pin after taking Okada out. The finish came across flat but it was good match. The flat finish may have been because Cole got hurt. Trainers checked on him after the match. The good news is that he walked out under his own power
