WWE star officially added to SmackDown roster

Even though 2023 is nearly wrapped up and months removed from the WWE Draft, one star has been left without a brand.

The Draft

The Draft happened this past May, and although there were main roster call-ups, talent moved from Raw to SmackDown and vice versa, several stars were listed as free agents, such as Baron Corbin, Brock Lensar, Cedric Alexander, Shelton Benjamin, Dolph Ziggler, Elias, Mustafa Ali, Omos, Von Wagner, and Xwyon Quinn.

Obviously, some of those names have since been released by the company, including Ziggler. For Alexander, he has been left without a brand.

The name

Alexander made his WWE debut through 205 Live in 2016, where he went on to hold the Cruiserweight Title for 181 days. In 2019, he was given his biggest push by being a member of The Hurt Business with Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Benjamin where they held Raw Tag Team gold before being broken up.

WWE.com now lists Alexander as a member of the SmackDown roster after being a free agent.

His last TV match was on the November 10 episode of SmackDown, a rematch from the week before, where he put over Dragon Lee. In the last two weeks, he has lost dark matches to Karrion Kross. Before that, he had been working Raw matches, as recently as October 2 when he put over Bronson Reed.
