Backstage news on Triple H’s absence from Monday’s WWE Raw

Triple H was not at WWE Monday Night Raw this week, which surprised some fans due to the importance of the show as WWE had one of its most anticipated episodes of Raw in recent memory with the fallout from last Saturday’s Survivor Series premium live event.

The episode

The show also featured the return of CM Punk and Randy Orton to Raw, with the show opening with Orton, and Punk closed out the show with a promo about why he’s back in WWE.

The show was run by Bruce Prichard. Earlier this week, when it was reported Triple H wasn’t there, it was reported he was pulled away on “other WWE business,” and the absence was expected.

Working on a deal

Pwinsider reports they were told Triple H and WWE President Nick Khan have been in Los Angeles over the last several days.

The two WWE executives are working on securing the media rights deal for Raw going forward ahead of Raw’s rights expiring next fall. It was added there are several suitors at this juncture.
