Former WWE star CM Punk is the talk of the wrestling world because there are still some fans who believe that he is returning tonight at Survivor Series in Chicago. We have posted a video at this link that shows fans chanting for Punk while Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins were in the ring. Rollins’ reaction to the chants is interesting.
Again, people in WWE have stated that Punk is not coming back tonight and there have been no talks with him. Anything could change but, unless the company is working some of their top wrestlers or people in creative, don’t expect to see him on the show tonight.
Former WWE star Ryback said on his X/Twitter account that he will retire if Punk returns tonight. Ryback and Punk worked together in WWE several years ago and Ryback has taken issue with Punk calling him unsafe when he did his infamous interview on Colt Cabana’s podcast in 2014. It’s a pretty safe bet for Ryback that he won’t have to announce his retirement.
