AEW Dynamite will face strong competition against Family Guy next year

2024 will be an important year for All Elite Wrestling as it looks to lock down a new television deal and re-sign its current talent who will have their deals expire. Tony Khan will also look to sign WWE talent that will become free agents, such as Becky Lynch and Drew McIntyre.

Momentum cooled

AEW has cooled off in 2023, with its ratings, attendance, and other business metrics being down. However, the promotion has been able to curve the ratings drop and is still pulling in strong numbers for Dynamite on TBS every Wednesday night.

Rampage and Collision ratings are down as both don’t have the ideal timeslots, with Rampage late on Friday nights and Collision in prime time on Saturday nights.

The shift

It was announced this week that Family Guy is set to air on a night other than Sunday for the first time in more than two decades as FOX released its midseason schedule, showing it will be moving the beloved cartoon series to Wednesday nights in March.

Family Guy will give AEW strong competition in the ratings for the block that it airs in on network television as historically, the show draws big ratings for FOX. The good news for AEW is that Family Guy won’t air for the entire two-hour broadcast of Dynamite as the episodes of the animated series air for 30-minutes.
