WWE started the build for the Women’s WarGames Match at this year’s Survivor Series on Friday’s episode of SmackDown when Damage CTRL (IYO SKY, Bayley, & Kairi Sane) defeated Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, & Asuka in a six-woman tag team match. During the bout, Asuka turned heel by attacking Flair.
WWE has already confirmed three other matches for Survivor Series including The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio) & JD McDonagh vs. Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, & Cody Rhodes in the Men’s WarGames Match, WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley vs. Zoey Stark, and WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER vs. The Miz.
WrestleVotes had reported on Friday that the match was internally listed as SKY, Bayley, Sane, & Asuka vs. Flair, Belair & Shotzi. However, the fourth and final member of the babyface team wasn’t known.
Pwinsider reports the belief at SmackDown was the final member would be Becky Lynch, who disappeared from WWE television after losing the NXT Women’s Title to Tiffany Stratton.
