WWE Has Massive Interest in Signing a Current NJPW Champion

Although WWE missed out on bringing back Sareee (Sarray), who had the chance to return to the company but decided against it in favor of signing with Sukeban, WWE could land another notable star from Japan in the near future.

Pwinsider reports that there is massive WWE interest in a major international star, which is Giulia.

Giulia made her debut in the Ice Ribbon promotion in 2017 before going to World Wonder STARDOM two years later, where she found success, including winning the World of STARDOM Championship, the Wonder of STARDOM Title, and the Goddess of Stardom Championship.

Both STARDOM and NJPW are owned by Bushiroad, which is why she’s been able to work for both promotions. She won the New Japan Strong Women’s Championship by defeating Willow Nightingale.

The report notes WWE is attempting to court the current New Japan Strong Women’s Champion in signing with them. It was added by one source that talks are far enough long that Giulia is expected at the WWE Performance Center sometime in November.
