Sami Zayn Reached WWE Career Milestone at Crown Jewel

2023 has been a successful year for Sami Zayn as he started off the year still as a member of The Bloodline alongside Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, The Usos, Paul Heyman, and Solo Sikoa. After turning on the group at the Royal Rumble to save Kevin Owens from further punishment, he got to headline the Elimination Chamber PLE in February in his hometown, where he came up short of dethroning Reigns as the top champion on SmackDown.

At WrestleMania 39, Zayn and Owens beat The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles, where they had a lengthy reign. They lost the titles to The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Bálor in a Pittsburgh Steel City Street Fight at Payback.

Last month, WWE split up Owens and Zayn as a tag team when Owens was sent packing to SmackDown. Now, Zayn is back to being a singles star while also aligning himself with Jey Uso in feuding with The Judgment Day.

Zayn scored a win over JD McDonaugh on the pre-show of last Saturday’s Crown Jewel PLE, which marked Zayn’s 900th match with the company after signing and starting in NXT back in 2013.
