Matt Riddle’s First Post-WWE Match Will Be Against a Dream Opponent

Matt Riddle is starting off his post-WWE career with a bang.

Riddle was released among several other names as part of mass WWE talent releases that hit the main roster and NXT hard. Before that happened, WWE had paired Riddle with Drew McIntyre as a tag team on Raw.

There was controversy before Riddle was released by WWE, as Riddle had an incident at JFK Airport. He accused a Port Authority police officer of sexual assault. Footage of it was released that shows an apparent Riddle drunk at the airport while waiting on his flight, which you can see here.

As previously reported, Riddle’s people are in talks with several companies, but he can’t sign with anyone until his non-compete ends in December.

Riddle’s first post-WWE booking has been announced as he will wrestle Rob Van Dam, a wrestler that Riddle has been compared to due to their mannerisms and love for cannabis, at Big Time Wrestling The Reunion 3 event.

The show takes place on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Chillicothe, Ohio. Tickets for the event are set to go on sale at 12 p.m. EST on Wednesday, November 1.
