Top AEW Star Is Waiting on Creative to Make Return

One AEW star could be headed back to the ring soon after being sidelined for over a year. The promotion has been criticized for the style of wrestling they put on as their product.

Some wrestlers will take dangerous spots as a way to further get over with the fans and stand out among the pack of talented stars in the promotion.

Thunder Rosa has been inactive with a back injury. She first had to pull out of an AEW Women’s Title defense at last year’s All Out before relinquishing the title. Her last match in August 2022 saw her victorious in trios competition alongside Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida, where they beat Emi Sakura, Marina Shafir, and Nyla Rose.

While away from the ring, she has done Spanish commentary for All Elite Wrestling, something she is still doing even though reports have indicated she is getting close to making a return.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported in a Q&A that Rosa is ready to return from injury, but just waiting on creative.

“She’s still on the Collision intro, still doing commentary. She’s good to go. She’s been good to go for a while though. Waiting on creative.”
