Why WWE Didn’t Book Brock Lesnar For This Year’s Crown Jewel

Brock Lesnar won’t be in action when WWE holds Crown Jewel on Saturday, November 4, 2023, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Lesnar is on another hiatus from WWE after wrapping up his feud with Cody Rhodes that started after WrestleMania 39, where they worked three matches, with their final bout coming at SummerSlam.

Lesnar is expected to return to WWE in January for the Royal Rumble and road to WrestleMania 40. With Lesnar not being booked for Crown Jewel, it will mark the first time he hasn’t been used for a Saudi Arabia pay-per-view event since WWE inked the deal to host two events per year in the country in 2018.

PWInsider Elite reports Lesnar is not being used for the show due to WWE feeling that the show was jam-packed with enough “attraction” type of matches and appearances thanks to Logan Paul, John Cena, LA Knight, and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Thus, they felt it was best to save Lesnar for a future show in the market.

Reigns vs. Knight, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre, WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley vs. Nia Jax vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Zoey Stark vs. Raquel Rodriguez, and WWE United States Champion Rey Mysterio vs. Paul are the only matches confirmed thus far.
