Saturday’s AEW Collision was notable as it marked the first time Jon Moxley got physical since being injured and there is a top free agent backstage at the show.
The show ended with Big Bill and Ricky Starks retaining the AEW Tag Team titles over Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta when The House of Black interfered. Post-match, Starks and Bill beat down the challengers until Bryan Danielson and FTR came out for the save.
This led to Moxley coming out to clear the ring. He had been sidelined since Dynamite: Grand Slam when he suffered a concussion in a match against Rey Fenix with Moxley calling an audible, and Fenix won the title, something not originally planned.
Pwinsider reports Sami Callihan was backstage at the show, which is interesting as he is still weighing his options for his future in the wrestling business. It’s unclear exactly why he was there, but likely, he was just visiting.
As previously reported, several AEW stars, including Moxley, have pushed for the promotion to sign the former Impact Wrestling star. However, it’s unclear whether All Elite Wrestling has interest in him.
Earlier this week, Karrion Kross, who has a history with Callihan, offered an invitation to him to join WWE.
