Roman Reigns returned to WWE television on Friday’s episode of SmackDown, where he did a promo segment with John Cena that led to LA Knight coming out and they traded words until Jimmy Uso tried to attack him from behind. However, Knight tossed Jimmy out of the ring and Reigns backed down by getting out of the ring.
Reigns worked his first match since he beat Jey Uso at the WWE SummerSlam premium live event on Saturday night as The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion retained his title over Sami Zayn in the main event of a live event from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, MO.
After the match, Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso attacked Zayn. LA Knight made the save and hit the BFT finisher to Reigns to send the crowd home happy.
As previously reported, Reigns’ next match will be on November 4 in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel. He is also being advertised for SmackDown in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 27th.
Although not confirmed, it looks like WWE is building to a Reigns vs. Knight match, potentially at Crown Jewel.
