Top AEW Star Expected to Make Return From Injury “Very Shortly”

It’s looking like one injured AEW star is getting closer to making a return and headed back to the ring soon after being sidelined for over a year.

That star is Thunder Rosa, who has been inactive with a back injury. She first had to pull out of an AEW Women’s Title defense at last year’s All Out before relinquishing the title.

While away from the ring, she has done Spanish commentary for All Elite Wrestling.

Her last match saw her victorious in trios competition alongside Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida, where they beat Emi Sakura, Marina Shafir, and Nyla Rose in August 2022. In late July, Rosa was reportedly training for her return in San Antonio with former WWE star Shochi Funaki.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Daily Update on F4Wonline.com, “We’re told Thunder Rosa is now expected back very shortly.”
