WWE Star Returning to the Ring for First Match in Several Months

Fans will be getting to see one WWE star make their return to the ring in several months. Wrestlers will be out of the ring for various reasons, whether that be injury, lack of creative, or asking for time off.  Other times, it’s due to WWE coming up with talking segments or storylines for them.

Tonight’s SmackDown will be the go-home edition of SmackDown for Saturday’s Fastlane premium live event. As previously reported, several Raw stars are in town for the show.

Charlotte Flair & Asuka vs. IYO SKY & Bayley, United States Champion Rey Mysterio vs. Bobby Lashley in a non-title match, and Dragon Lee vs. Austin Theory are the matches confirmed for the show.

Lashley lands in the category of not being used in an in-ring role as he has been paired with The Street Profits on television.

Lashley hasn’t competed in a TV match since May 12th when he wrestled twice as Lashley won a triple threat match before losing a singles match to AJ Styles for the right to compete for the new World Heavyweight Title.

His last match was on June 25th, when he beat Baron Corbin at a house show.
