After Triple H’s speech at the start of the show, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns walked out to the ring with Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman.
Cody Rhodes walked out to the ring and acknowledged that Reigns was the better competitor last night at WrestleMania 39 but he had Roman last night and lost because of the interference. Rhodes asked for the rematch on tonight’s show but Heyman declined and said that it would not happen anywhere including Backlash, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, or anywhere else.
However, they agreed to a tag match featuring Cody and a mystery partner against Reigns and Sikoa. Heyman said that the person who teams with Cody will never challenge for Reigns’ title again. As soon as he said that, Brock Lesnar showed up.
