It looks like a fan-favorite tag team will be reuniting sometime this year and that’s Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa as DIY.
They were signed together after getting over as enhancement wrestlers in NXT, where they found success as a tag team before having a memorable feud and classic matches.
Ciampa was last seen in action at a September 17 WWE live event when he faced Bobby Lashley. He had been aligned with The Miz, helping him try to escape the wrath of Dexter Lumis on Monday Night Raw before disappearing from television and underwent hip surgery last October.
Gargano will wrestle Grayson Waller at Stand & Deliver this Saturday.
Gargano recently stated in an interview that they hadn’t scratched the surface of a DIY run on the main roster and left the door open to it.
WRKD Wrestling reports that WWE had discussed reuniting the tag team on the main roster coming out of WrestleMania.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn aren’t the only “Frenemies” reuniting.
There’s talks of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa linking up on the main roster after #WrestleMania with Gargano going as far as to say this during an interview this week. #Smackdown pic.twitter.com/t7uVk85yr6
