The door is open for Mercedes Mone to make a WWE return if she gives up certain points she had asked for

Following her WWE departure after she walked out alongside Naomi due to creative differences with Vince McMahon, she got her WWE release and went to NJPW, where she appeared at Wrestle Kingdom 17 to confront KAIRI, later leading to her winning the IWGP Women’s Championship.

Mone will defend the title against AZM and Hazuki in a triple threat match at NJPW’s Sakura Genesis event on April 8. She is also slated to do a STARDOM match later that month as well.

Some fans are still holding out hope that Mone will return to WWE one day, and they may get their wish.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that after the STARDOM match, Mone’s deal with Bushiraod, the parent company of STARDOM and NJPW, will expire.

Meltzer added that the door for Mone to return to WWE is open if she’s willing to give up asking for certain points that she wanted when in talks with WWE while away from the company and before she got her release.

“From the WWE side, we were told there were points that she has asked for that she would have to give up asking for to sign a deal with them, but the door is open for her otherwise.”

As previously reported, Mone wanted to be paid like Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.
