WWE stated on Twitter that Roxanne Perez was kept overnight for observation after passing out after her match on last night’s NXT RoadBlock broadcast.
There has been nothing to indicate that this is nothing more than a storyline. Obviously, we wish her well if this is legit but as many fans pointed out on Twitter, this seems to be a callback to when Shawn Michaels collapsed on a late 1995 episode of Monday Night Raw.
Michaels took a kick to the head from Owen Hart, posed, and then collapsed and the match was called off as EMTs helped him get oxygen in his body. At the time, it was a storyline cover to give Michaels time off as he had been badly beaten in a bar by a United States Marine.
