MJF had a highly praised 60-minute iron man match with Bryan Danielson in the main event of AEW Revolution, where he went over to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
However, during it, he grabbed a cup from a woman and threw water on a young fan who was sitting at ringside while he was out in the crowd.

Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that this was a real fan and not planted by AEW. The water turned out to be tequila. Amanda Huber and others came out to check on the fan. The fan and his mother were taken backstage. They were given merchandise and will be attending Wednesday’s Dynamite in Sacramento.

While speaking at the post-event media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan and MJF were asked about the incident.
MJF said when asked what was going through his mind at the moment, “the kid looked thirsty.”
The follow-up question for Khan was whether there be any consequences for what MJF did.
“We had a conversation before we came up here. We had a serious conversation and I mean that, and it’s not to be taken lightly. The young man, Titus, was a real pro about it and we’ll see Titus again here in AEW. I believe Titus is actually coming to Sacramento. I was just with him, and he was a real champ about it. The champion didn’t act like a champion there, but I think Titus was great. The champion didn’t act like a champion there. I think Titus was great.”
MJF added, Salt of the earth that Titus. Real worried about him.”
