Daniel Cormier jokes about smacking Brock Lesnar when he’s at WWE WrestleMania for ESPN

Daniel Cormier will be going to WWE WrestleMania Goes Hollywood to do coverage for ESPN.

The former UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion is a big wrestling fan. He was brought in as the special guest referee for the Fight Pit between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle at Extreme Rules last year.

Cormier told Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso that he would be at the biggest event of the year for WWE. Due to his history with Brock Lesnar, he jokingly said that things might get physical if Lesnar gets in his way at WrestleMania.

“If Brock steps in my way?” Cormier said. “I’ll smack him upside his head.”

Cormier and Lesnar had a confrontation in the octagon at UFC 226 following Cormier’s KO victory over Stipe Miocic. The UFC planned a fight between them in August 2019, but it didn’t happen.

Lesnar reportedly turned down a match with Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania and will wrestle Omos instead, a match that was Vince McMahon’s idea.
