“Switchblade” Jay White seemingly bids farewell to NJPW amid AEW and WWE interest

“Switchblade” Jay White added fuel to the fire that he will be departing from NJPW soon.

As previously reported, White’s contract is up relatively soon, and he is expected to leave New Japan Pro Wrestling. People believe in both WWE and AEW that the promotions are interested in signing him.

Last Saturday, White lost a “Loser leaves Japan” match to Hikuleo at NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka. He is supposed to work AEW’s Eddie Kingston at Saturday’s Battle in the Valley pay-per-view in San Jose, California.

White took to his Twitter, where he uploaded a few photos of his match with Hikuleo and wrote the following in the caption: “Peace. – #SwitchbladeEra.”

The latest report regarding his future came from Fightful Select on Sunday that noted NJPW talent “are of the belief his contract with the company is up sometime between NJPW Battle in the Valley and WrestleMania, with details being few and far between.”
