WWE may have given up on a push of another tag team.
Tonight on WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Hit Row (Top Dolla and Ashante Adonis) lost a quick match to Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. It was a squash match that was basically a backdrop to set up The Viking Raiders vs. Sheamus/McIntyre for next week’s show.
Perhaps this is temporary until they heat them up at a later date but it should be noted that Hit Row only turned heel just a few weeks ago and it seemed like they were getting focused on again.
Top Dolla turned heel after losing to Ricochet in early January. A couple of weeks later, Hit Row defeated Los Lotharios but they lost to Strowman and Ricochet and Strowman a week later before tonight’s squash match.
