Naomi, real name Trinity Fatu, may have indicated that she will not be coming back to work for WWE.
Due to a creative dispute, Naomi and Sasha Banks, now going by the name of Mercedes Mone, walked out of WWE last May. Mone got her WWE release before she made her NJPW debut last month at Wrestle Kingdom 17.
There hadn’t been much talk with Naomi about her future in the wrestling business compared to Mone for months. When Mone made her NJPW debut, it was reported that Naomi was expected to make a return to WWE.
The most recent update came from Dave Meltzer last month that talks between WWE and Naomi were ongoing, but nothing had been signed.
In her Instagram bio, she updated it to state ‘JUST Trinity.” She removed any WWE-related info from the account long ago, but this is a clear statement that she plans to go by Trinity going forward and seemingly not with WWE.
