WWE Files Trademark For Jacob Fatu’s Nickname

WWE has filed a trademark for Jacob Fatu’s nickname. 

On June 21, WWE filed to trademark “Samoan Werewolf” under entertainment purposes with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Fatu has used the nickname for the last few years. Here is the description:

“Mark For: SAMOAN WEREWOLF trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”

Fatu is the most recent wrestler to join WWE as of late after a run in MLW, where he was a top star. He finished up with the promotion in February with MLW SuperFight.

Fatu is the latest member of the Bloodline, as he made the save for Solo Sikoa on Friday’s episode of SmackDown. He laid out the likes of Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens before hitting a splash off the top rope to send Rhodes through the announce table.
