Monday’s episode of WWE Raw was the second-to-last episode before WWE hosted Clash at the Castle PLE later this month.
Going into the show, WWE advertised World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest vs. Rey Mysterio in a non-title bout, Ludwig Kaiser vs. Sheamus, The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) vs. Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar), and an appearance from Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.
Late additions to the show were Finn Balor vs. Dragon Lee, Ricochet vs. Bron Breakker, and the Raw in-ring debut of Kiana James against Natalya. WWE confirmed that Chad Gable would challenge Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Title at Clash at the Castle.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Sheamus vs. Kaiser got a lot of praise based on those they spoke to backstage. Former TNA star Abyss was the producer behind that bout that saw Kaiser go over.
Coming out of the show on Raw Talk, Sheamus called for a rematch against Kaiser after the hard-hitting bout.
