WWE’s Plans For Which Match Will Headline The King and Queen Of The Ring PLE

Following the success of WWE Backlash France, WWE is looking forward and will do so in short order when they present the King & Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event on Saturday, May 26, 2024, from the Jeddah SuperDome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which will air on Peacock.

The show has WWE Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan and WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn vs. Bronson Reed vs. Chad Gable in addition to the finals of the King & Queen of the Ring tournament confirmed thus far.

WWE kicked off the tournaments this week on Raw, which will continue on tonight’s SmackDown. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer pointed out how the top Raw stars are in the tournament, such as Jey Uso and Gunther, leading to him speculating that there will be no World Heavyweight Title defense by Damian Priest at the show since there have been no hints of it happening.

Dave Meltzer reported that he was told by those in WWE that Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is “pegged for the main event on this show in a title match.”

With the event taking place in just weeks, the build for that match is expected to start shortly.
