Backstage News On The Status Of Absent AEW Star

AEW has a lot of talent under contract; something fans have criticized the promotion for, as they can’t use everyone despite having multiple programs with Dynamite, Rampage, Collison, and ROH television.

While some talent are not used due to creative, there are others, such as MJF, Adam Cole, Jamie Hayter, and more who are sidelined with injuries. That also includes Wheeler Yuta, who has been sidelined for four months now.

Yuta, the ROH Pure Champion, hasn’t wrestled since January when he took an L in a Triple Crown Championship match against Eddie Kingston. Since then, he’s remained off AEW television and hasn’t been part of CMLL’s plans since the end of March.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Yuta has been dealing with concussion symptoms for months, and there’s still no timetable for his return. The latest on his status was in March, when they were told there was hope he wouldn’t be sidelined for long.

We wish him a speedy recovery.
