Derrick Lewis may soon be appearing on WWE television. Ever since WWE and UFC merged into TKO, there has been speculation of cross-promotion and fighters making the jump to WWE, while others have wondered whether some WWE talent may want to jump to MMA.
Cain Velasquez, Daniel Cormier, and Ronda Rousey are the most well-known original UFC stars to have been part of WWE in some way. Earlier this year, on an episode of Raw, Michael Chandler appeared to call out UFC megastar Conor McGregor for a fight.
Lewis has his next fight lined up when he meets Rodrigo Nascimento at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night from St. Louis, Missouri. It’s the main event. While speaking with the media, Lewis was asked about a possible crossover to WWE.
“What’s the TKO?………..Oh, yeah, we’re actually in talks right now. We’ve been talking for a few months now. I was supposed to go down there in February to check everything out.”
Lewis added that his finishing move could be like Rikishi’s Stinkface because he likes taking off his shorts in the Octagon after he wins.
