Ronda Rousey: I Really Wanted The Singles Match With Becky Lynch That Constantly Got Dangled In Front Of Me

For years, it was believed that the first-ever singles match between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey was just a matter of time before taking place, but that wasn’t the case, and it seemingly won’t ever happen.

Their feud dates back years, as they were originally booked to wrestle at Survivor Series in 2018. Still, it was nixed when Lynch got punched by Nia Jax in a brawl on Raw, and she suffered a concession that resulted in her being pulled from the bout and replaced by Charlotte Flair.

Lynch beat Rousey and Flair in the main event of WrestleMania 35 in 2019. Rousey took time off and waited until January 2022 at the Royal Rumble to return. She departed at last year’s SummerSlam, where she has since criticized the company and Vince McMahon, although she has said positive things about Triple H & Stephanie McMahon.

While doing a LiveSigning session with her sister, Maria Burns-Ortiz, to promote her new book, Rousey talked about the match never happening in the opening minutes of the stream.

“Well, I really wanted to have that singles with Becky Lynch that constantly got dangled in front of me. I never got to have, which you can read about in our book at OurFightBook.com. You can get it at and hear me b*tch about that for a couple hundred pages.”

Rousey noted that the fight that might get her out of retirement would be Gina Carano, as that was a dream fight for her before making it clear that her MMA career is definitely over.
