One of the hottest stars in NXT has been rumored for a main roster call up but as of now, that is not happening.
Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan is reporting that sources in NXT have stated that Trick Williams is no longer being considered for a move to Raw and SmackDown. If you recall, there was a lot of buzz about a call up around the time when Williams appeared on SmackDown several weeks back. Williams is a favorite of WWE fans but, barring a last-minute change, his main roster move is likely to happen at a later time.
This might explain why Williams did not win the NXT World Championship because there was a feeling that he was destined to be the champion of the brand. Williams is scheduled to challenge for the title at the Spring Breakin’ episode of NXT and the stipulation is that he must leave the brand if he loses.
