John Cena Reached WWE Milestone With Surprise Raw Appearance

Despite no longer being a full-time active WWE star, John Cena continues to rack up achievements.

While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Cena noted that he hopes to have one more run next year once his Hollywood acting commitments are wrapped up after Christmas.

He also said while he still has rubber left on the tires, he knows he’s close to in-ring retirement and plans to retire before he turns 50, meaning he’ll be done by 2027.

Cena made a surprise WWE appearance at WrestleMania 40 on Sunday night when he helped make the save for Cody Rhodes in his Undisputed WWE Universal Title Match with Roman Reigns.

The following night on Monday’s Raw, during the closing moments of The Miz and R-Truth vs. Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh), Cena ran down to the ring to be the sixth man in the match where he hit signature moves on the heels to help the Raw Tag Team Champions go over.

WWE Stats noted on Twitter that as a result of the match, Cena has now worked a TV match for 23 straight years in WWE. Randy Orton accomplished this earlier this year, when he also started on the main roster in 2002.
