WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley vs. Becky Lynch took place at the WWE WrestleMania XL premium live event from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The announcers mentioned Lynch is dealing with strep throat. Lynch took the fight right to Rhea including a drop kick off the middle rope. Rhea cut her off with a powerslam and then planted her with a vertical suplex. Rhea went to the top rope, but Lynch did an arm drag. Lynch avoided the riptide with a back breaker and transitioned into an armbar, but Rhea got out. Lynch tossed her into the ring post shoulder first and then head first. Lynch with a leg drop off the top rope, but Rhea caught her and put her in a leg submission. Lynch rolled out of it after going for a pin attempt. Lynch with a one handle slam for 2. Rhea with riptide for a near fall. Out of the ring, Rhea with an electric chair to plant Lynch. Back in the ring, Rhea with a frog splash for 2. Rhea with riptide off the middle rope for the win.
