The Rock Will Make History At WWE WrestleMania 40

WWE WrestleMania 40 is slated to be historic for various reasons, including a special milestone for The Rock.

The Rock & Undisputed WWE Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes & World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is the WWE WrestleMania 40 headliner of night one. Night Two will feature Reigns vs. Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title and Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Title.

The Rock beat John Cena at WrestleMania 28 in Miami, Florida, and then the next year at WrestleMania 29, Cena beat The Rock to win the WWE Title in New Jersey. Rock suffered several injuries in his last match.

The Rock will join The Undertaker as the only stars to have main-evented WrestleMania over four decades. Both stars did it in the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s.

They surpass the likes of Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, and Edge, who currently sit at three decades. From 1999 through 2001 alone, Rock headlined three consecutive WrestleMania events where he lost all three of them with the WWE title on the line.
