“Dune: Part Two” Movie Featuring Dave Bautista Dominates At The Box Office In Debut

The new movie, “Dune: Part Two,” had its theatrical premiere in the US last week and was a big success at the box office. The first movie brought in $402 million for the studio.

Denis Villeneuve and Jon Spaihts wrote the film, which was produced by Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Patrick McCormick, Denis Villeneuve, and Tanya Lapointe.

Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, Stellan Skarsgård, and Jason Momoa, returned to the franchise in their roles from the first movie. Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, and Léa Seydoux joined the cast for the second film. Bautista portrays Glossu Rabban, the brutish nephew of Baron Harkonnen.

Box office success

According to Box Office Mojo, the film has earned $178.5 million worldwide, with $97 million coming internationally and $81.5 million in the states in 4,071 theaters. On the opening night, it drew $32.3 million, then $28.8 million on Saturday, and then $20.3 million on Sunday.

The budget is reported to be $190 million. The film topped “Bob Marley: One Love” with $7.4 million, “Ordinary Angels” with $3.9 million, and “Madame Web” with $3.2 million at the box office.
