Nick Jackson On Cody Rhodes: The AEW Founders Will Always Have A Lifetime Bond With Each Other

Although Cody Rhodes is no longer in AEW and is busy being a top WWE star, that doesn’t mean he is not on good terms with the founders of All Elite Wrestling.

History

Rhodes and The Elite (Kenny Omega, Adam Page, and the Young Bucks) helped launch All Elite Wrestling with President Tony Khan in 2019, changing wrestling forever.

Last year, they had the chance to reunite, but The Elite decided they would re-sign with All Elite Wrestling despite having interest from WWE. While speaking with SI.com, Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks discussed Rhodes’ rise in WWE.

Connection

“Cody is the face of the WWE now, and it’s cool to see because we always knew how much of a star he was. The founders of AEW will always have a lifetime bond with each other because we all know what we did for wrestling. We talk every week and in a weird way him leaving made us grow more as friends.”

Sunday’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view event will see AEW Tag Team Champions Sting & Darby Allin vs. The Young Bucks in a Tornado Tag Team Match, which will also serve as Sting’s retirement match.
