WWE Interested In Collaborating With Sylvester Stallone For WrestleMania 40

WWE could be bringing in Sylvester Stallone for something special at WrestleMania 40.

The build towards WWE WrestleMania 40 has begun ahead of this year’s event at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Some of the matches on tap for the show have been confirmed as Cody Rhodes will challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, and IYO SKY will defend the Women’s Title against Bayley.

It’s expected that The Rock and Reigns will also team together against Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. As the event gets closer, more bouts will be revealed.

WrestleVotes reports WWE has an interest in working with Stallone at the event as he most notably inducted Hulk Hogan into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005. The tie-in could have something to do with the Rocky franchise since the character is tied to Philadelphia, where WrestleMania is being held this year. Hulk Hogan was part of Rocky III as Thunderlips.
