On AdFreeShows.com’s “Ask Conrad Live,” Conrad Thompson gave an update on Bruce Prichard’s recent surgery. There were some people on social media claiming that Prichard was just trying to lay low after the Janel Grant lawsuit. Thompson said that was not the case and the surgery did happen.
“He called me and he said, ‘Dude, this was brutal. My arm is swollen up. It’s got a fever. It’s hot to the touch. I’ve got hot dog fingers. I’ve got some sort of infection and they’ve been giving me antibiotics and blah, blah, blah. It feels like I’ve got a 300 pound weight hanging by a string.’”
“He’s on the mend. I know that there’s been a lot of chatter online and lots of Bruce haters who are saying, ‘Oh, he’s faking an injury or whatever. He’s trying to stay out of the limelight or lay low.’ None of that’s reality. What happened as you guys have seen on YouTube, he had shoulder surgery, so he’s got himself in a sling, more than a sling, really, but it’s like this brace that he can’t even put on by himself. It’s this giant apparatus. Well, unfortunately, while he was wearing it, he fell, and when he fell, he had to try to instinctively catch himself, and when he did, now he had all of his body weight, where instead of trying to brace it with two arms or two hands, it happened with one, and any adult man, especially one who may or may not be a few pounds overweight, he just snapped the tricep. He tore it right off the bone.”
“He told me today, he said, ‘I called Punk and said, man, how’s the tricep doing’, and Punk told him, ‘Fu**ing worst ever’, and that made Bruce feel happy because he’s like, ‘Good. It’s not just fat, old, elderly men. It’s also, you know, in their prime athletes who were still feeling the effects of a shitty tricep surgery like this.'”
“The doctor even told him when he did it, he goes, ‘Just give you a heads up, Bruce. This is going to be really, really painful. It’s going to really suck’ and he’s like, ‘Yeah, but I just had my shoulder. It can’t be worse than that’, and the doctor goes, ‘I’m not gonna say it’s worse, but it ain’t better.’ Now it’s clicking for Bruce like, he’s right. This is fu**ing miserable. But you know, listen, everybody’s told him, ‘Hey, give it a week’, and then they’re gonna say, I know this, ‘Give it two weeks. Give it three weeks’ so he’s on the mend, but he does not recommend having two surgeries inside of like two weeks, if you can help it.”
