Injured WWE Star Expected To Return Relatively Soon

It looks like WWE could be getting one star back from the sidelines who has been out of in-ring action for nearly a year as the company inches closer to WrestleMania.

Injury

That star is Dakota Kai, who suffered a torn ACL on the May 12 edition of SmackDown in a tag team match while working with Bayley against Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Earlier this week, Kai posted this teaser on Instagram, noting she was getting closer to making an in-ring return. She was filming some promotional material and had her ring gear on before deleting it.

This comes at a time when Kai has since been on television for the last few months but not wrestling as the faction continues to grow.

Timing

The group recently turned on Bayley on last week’s SmackDown after Bayley found out they had been talking badly about her in Japanese. Kai wasn’t part of the segment.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that “Damage Ctrl filmed WrestleMania graphics without Kai for what it’s worth. Kai should be returning relatively soon.”

Hopefully, Kai can make it back in time for WrestleMania in April as IYO SKY defends the WWE Women’s Title against Bayley.
