“Big Show” Paul Wight Says He’s Getting Knee Replacement Surgery

“Big Show” Paul Wight is planning to undergo the knife again.

Wight shocked a lot of people when he left WWE after being with the company for 20 years and joined AEW in February 2021, where he wrestled a few matches and worked as an announcer.

He returned to in-ring action on a November episode of Dynamite, where Kota Ibushi, Wight, & The Golden Jets (Jericho & Kenny Omega) defeated Brian Cage & The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher & Powerhouse Hobbs) in a street fight. A lot of people were concerned with how Wight was walking due to his knees.

Jericho and Wight reunited on the Chris Jericho Cruise, where they were wearing their retro gear for the match from their time as a tag team in WWE.

As you can see in this short conversation with a fan on the cruise, Wight said, “I’m going to get knee surgery.” It’s unclear when he plans to get the knee replacement surgery.
