Sting And Darby Allin Won The AEW World Tag Team Championship On AEW Dynamite

New AEW World Tag Team Champions were crowned tonight on Dynamite.

In the main event, Sting and Darby Allin defeated Big Bill and Ricky Starks to win the titles in Sting’s last TV match before his retirement. During the match, there were some wild spots including one where Sting dove off an upper section of the arena and dove onto Bill and Starks. Late in the match, Allin and Bill both crashed through a table as Sting had the Scopion Deathlock applied on Starks. Sting ultimately pinned Starks after hitting the Scorpion Deathdrop.

After the match, Sting and Darby celebrated with Sting’s son’s entering the ring. The Young Bucks attacked both of them with baseball bats to get heat for their upcoming match at the Revolution pay-per-view. See the tweets below.

Sting has held several major titles throughout his career including the NWA/WCW World Title on several occasions. He’s also a former WCW United States Champion, winner of the Jim Crockett, Sr. Memorial Cup, winner of the King of Cable tournament, and he’s a 3-time WCW Triple Crown Champion. This is his third time as Tag Team Champion. In WCW, he won the tag title 3 times with 3 different partners – Lex Luger, The Giant and Kevin Nash.
